Lucas Vidal: 2011 Award Nomination by the IFMCA

Lucas just got nominated by the International Film Music Critics Association for “Breakout Composer of the year” Award.

The IFMCA is a professional association made up of active film and television music journalists. It’s been seen by many as a valuable precursor to the Academy Awards in the absence of a guild for composers. They have been called the “Oscars of Film Music”

Ludovic Bource, Brian Byrne, The Chemical Brothers and Michael Richard Plowman were also Nominated in this category.

The Raven is Being Mixed! (And making national news)

Mixing is currently underway at Steve Kempster’s studio in Thousand Oaks, CA and is set to finish this week. Meanwhile, MuMo plunges into finishing Cold Light of Day, set to record in August at Abbey Road Studios.

Recording for The Raven has begun!

Music and Motion is in London, recording Lucas Vidal’s original soundtrack for The Raven! All of the hard work has finally paid off, and we will get to hear the score performed live for the first time!
